Message I cleaned and packed with dielectric grease all PTU (newer style) connections, CAS connector, coil pack connectors, new NGK platinum plugs gapped properly, replaced starter and blue starter inhibitor relay 6 months ago. New, good quality battery terminals, battery replaced 1/08.

Heres the scenario. Let's see...kinda long story. I drove about 2 miles last night from a buddy's house to a local park, to meet up with a couple friends. I pulled in a parking spot, and left the car running. One of my friends was talking to me through the window. All of the sudden, the car just shut off, like I turned it off with the key. Try to restart, it just cranks and cranks, but will not turn over. Well, another one of my buddies was on his way there and he had some jumper cables. We jumped the car off, and it fired right up, and I drove about 5-6 miles home. Wake up this morning to go to work, and I think, let's see if it will start. Get in, it fires right up, no problem. So I proceed to drive the car to work, and after about 4 miles of driving, when I come to a red light, just as I'm stopping, the car dies again. In the middle of the road, at 5:00am. Try to start, try to start, no dice. So I turn the hazards on and pop the hood. I tried wiggling the battery cables around, and they were solid. Mind you I'm in the middle of the road and people are honking their horns, etc. Well, by this time a cop has pulled up, and I told him that my car just died. We were about to push the car out of the middle of the road, and I told him, well let me try it one more time. I get in the car, and it starts up, no problem. So I hurry up and get it out of the road and pull into a Publix parking lot in case it decides to die again, and just as I pull in, the car dies. I coasted into a parking space, and called someone to take me back to my house so I could get my truck and go to work. Needless to say I was late. I'm going to check the alternator tomorrow. If that turns out ok, anyone have any ideas? Can I bypass the starter relay with a jumper wire? Thanks in advance for any help.
